Muslim Myrtle Beach is the Grand Strand’s community-built directory for Muslim-friendly businesses, mosques, restaurants, and services. It helps Muslim residents and visitors find Halal food, prayer spaces, and local resources without the guesswork. The platform is free to use and community-supported.

Yes, completely. Browsing listings, reading reviews, and using the directory costs nothing. Business listings also start free. There are optional paid upgrade plans for businesses that want more visibility, but the core experience is always free for visitors.

MMB is built and maintained by members of the local Muslim community with support from Ameen Systems. It is not a corporate product. It runs on community support, voluntary listing submissions, and optional business upgrades.

General platforms are not built with Muslim needs in mind. MMB specifically filters for Halal certification, Muslim ownership, prayer space availability, and family-friendly environments. Every listing is reviewed before going live, so the information is more reliable than crowd-sourced apps.

Go to Browse Listings and filter by the “Restaurants and Cafes” category. You can also search by city or zip code, and filter specifically for listings tagged as Halal Certified. Each listing shows its verification status, hours, and contact info.

Browse the “Mosques and Prayer Spaces” category in the directory. Listings include address, phone number, Jumu’ah times where available, and directions. You can also search by nearest city.

Every new listing goes through a manual review before being published. The MMB team checks that the business exists, the category is accurate, and that any Halal or Muslim-owned claims are reasonable. Listings with unverified claims are marked accordingly.

Yes. Create a free account and use the heart icon on any listing to save it to your favorites. You can access your saved listings from your account dashboard at any time.

Click “Add Listing” in the navigation or go to the Submit Listing page. Fill in your business name, category, address, contact details, and any relevant tags like Halal Certified or Muslim-Owned. The Community plan is completely free and takes about 3 minutes to submit.

Most listings are reviewed and approved within 24 hours. During busy periods it may take up to 48 hours. You will receive an email notification when your listing goes live.

Yes. Log in to your account and navigate to your listing from your dashboard. You can update your hours, contact information, photos, and description at any time. Major changes (like category changes) may go through a brief re-review.

The Community plan is free and includes a standard listing with full search visibility. The Featured Business plan adds a featured badge and priority placement in your category. The Spotlight Partner plan gives you top-of-page placement, a custom Business Page, social media features, and more. See the Business page for a full comparison.

During listing submission, select “Fully Halal” or “Halal Options Available” under the Halal Certified field. Our review team may follow up with you to confirm. If you have official certification documentation, you can attach it through the listing edit page.

A listing is your entry in the directory search results. A Business Page is a full custom page for your brand on MMB, with your own buttons (call, directions, menu, deals, etc.), your logo, and a dedicated URL. Business Pages are available to Spotlight Partners. Use the Business Page Wizard to get started.

Open any listing page and click the “Write a Review” button on the right sidebar. You will need a free account to leave a review. Rate the business out of 5 stars and share your experience. Reviews go through a brief moderation check before appearing publicly.

You can edit your review from your account dashboard at any time. If you wish to remove it entirely, contact us through the Contact page with the listing name and your account email.

Use the Report button on the listing page to flag the review. Our team reviews all reports and takes action within 48 hours. Fake reviews or content that violates our community standards are removed.

The business may not have been submitted yet. You can suggest it through the Contact page and we will reach out to the owner. Alternatively, if you have a relationship with the owner, encourage them to submit it themselves at /submit/.

Every listing page has a “Report a Problem” link. Fill out the short form with what is incorrect and we will investigate and update the listing, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

First, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing. If the issue persists, use the Contact page or the Report a Problem form to describe what you are seeing. Screenshots are very helpful.
